So, we're almost caught up! :)
Here's the two days after we got back. :)
6/1 - 6/2
The last 2 days have been pretty busy, not that the previous 6 haven't been… :) Wednesday was a slow-starting morning, but my sister Holly is graduating from high school and has a graduation party on Sunday, so there is lots of work to do to get ready… Flower beds to weed, mulch to spread, the garage to clean, etc. I also helped Jonathan put together my sister's new bed. Or he helped me… Anyway it was one of those "some assembly required", although it was more like "all assembly required". The manufacturer just drilled some holes and welded a little, we had to do the rest. And, as we all know, if there are more than 2 pieces, someone isn't going to fit… Luckily enough, I as able to get all but 2 bolts successfully inserted in their appropriate holes. They were superfluous anyway, so it won't be a big deal.
Thursday was the mulch day. 5 yards of mulch, which is quite a bit if you ask me. Also, why is mulch (and concrete, for that matter), measured in yards? Yards is a measure of length, not volume. That is like going to the grocery store and saying "I would like 6 inches of milk, please" . Nonsense… Anyway, nobody asked me, so it is what it is… The mulching went pretty smoothly. And my back wasn't completely broken by the end… :) And the flower beds look pretty good too. :)
My sister Lindey is a super cookie-decorator (check out her Facebook page for some pictures). Anyway, she had some cookie orders to do for the weekend of graduation parties, and I was lucky enough to get some of the scraps. And they were GOOD! But it did kind of take our kitchen out of commission for the day. :) So, there was lots of work going on inside and outside! :)
And, unfortunately, Bridget's "not feeling well" was diagnosed as mono. So, she will be taking it really easy the next few days before out trip. Hopefully she'll get over it in the next 11 days before we leave…
