This morning, my sister Amy and I got up to watch the sunrise. The weather channel said the sunrise would be at 6:35AM, so we got up at 6:15 and walked east to a little park. The only problem was that there were buildings in the way. So, we kind of just watched the sky get brighter. But I still got a nice panorama shot of what we could see.

And later this morning was our fishing trip in the backwaters of the everglades. Just the boys went (my dad, my three brothers, and myself). Bridget was going to come, but she wasn't feeling very well, so she stayed home. The fishing was definitely a blast. We were hoping to get enough fish for dinner, but that didn't really work out too well for us. However, the following awards were made up and given out by me to make it more interesting.
- The Bring-home-the-Bacon award - Jason (my youngest brother) won this award for getting two of the three fish we kept for meat. He caught a Mackerel and a Snapper.
- The Longest Fish award - My dad and Jordan (2nd youngest brother) shared this award. They both caught a 16" fish.
- The hottest reel award - Jason and Jordan shared this award because they seemed to constantly have a fish on the line
- The weirdest fish award - Jonathan (my older brother) caught a strange fish with legs, which is quite a unique sight (see below)
- The best inorganic catch - Jason's first "catch" was a full-size conch shell. He was so excited that he "caught" something and his pole tip was dipping like crazy with his frantic excitement. When he finally got it up near the surface and saw what it was, we all started laughing.
- The first fish award - Jonathan struck first
- The most patient award - Me. This isn't really an award, but I figured I had to at least make my own list… :)
Here are some random pictures from the trip.

After the fishing expedition, we headed back to meet up with the rest of the fam and we just roasted by the pool for the afternoon. And I wore my shirt… lame.
